This Broadway cast recording features Laurie Beechman as the Narrator and Bill Hutton in the title role, with Gordon Stanley as Jacob and Tom Carder as Pharoah. The score blends Lloyd Webber’s eclectic musical influences, from country and calypso to French café music and Elvis, paired with Rice’s witty lyrics. The show tells the biblical story through memorable songs including “You Are What You Feel/Jacob and Sons,” “Close Every Door,” and “Go Go Joseph.”
