CD Details
Jez Lowe emerged as a leading British songwriter over four decades, and this five-disc set gathers his work from 13 years with Fellside Records. Spanning from his 1980 debut through 1993’s “Bede Weeps” with his band the Bad Pennies, these albums showcase songs that have since been covered by Fairport Convention, The Unthanks, The Dubliners, and many others. Rooted in the North-East of England, Lowe crafts deeply human songs that blend local storytelling with universal themes, infused with anger, humor, and hope.
This five-CD collection includes bonus tracks from his other Fellside projects and captures the foundational work that defined his songwriting voice. Own a piece of folk music history at a fraction of the original cost.
