It’s About Time is a 2012 R&B album by Bobby Brooks Wilson that blends funk, soul, and pop influences. The record pairs original compositions with covers of classic soul standards, including “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” and “Lonely Teardrops.” Wilson delivers contemporary soulful vocals with a distinctly Southern soul character, drawing comparisons to classic R&B traditions while bringing fresh musicianship to the genre.

This CD was released on Plateau Music and contains nine tracks with a total runtime showcasing Wilson’s range across upbeat funk-influenced numbers and more introspective soul pieces. The album features finely crafted instrumentation that emphasizes authentic musicianship over heavy production. Grab this used copy and experience the Southern soul sound that has been largely absent from modern radio.
