Into the Pride is a 2009 Animal Planet documentary series directed by Richard Slater-Jones and written by Amy Briamonte and Lance Nichols. Wildlife expert Dave Salmoni embarks on an ambitious six-month expedition into the Namibian bush to live among a pride of lions facing elimination. Salmoni, known for his work with large predators, takes on the challenge of building trust with these “problem lions” that have come into conflict with humans. His mission combines his passion for big cats with a race against time to save the pride from destruction by proving they can coexist peacefully with people.

This single-disc DVD release runs three hours and forty minutes and carries an IMDb rating of 8.2. Produced by Discovery Studios, the series documents Salmoni’s transformative journey as he tests his survival skills, training, and dedication in one of Africa’s most demanding environments.
