Inarticulate Nature Boy is a 1996 rock album by Josh Clayton-Felt, Matt Wallace, and Michael Ward, recorded following the breakup of School Of Fish. Recorded in a home studio set up in a wooden house nestled in Topanga Canyon near Los Angeles, the album marks Clayton-Felt’s first major label release and represents a shift in direction from his previous band’s guitar-heavy approach. Working alongside engineer and co-producer Tony Phillips, who has collaborated with artists like Seal and Pete Townshend, Clayton-Felt blended funk influences with his songwriting sensibilities, exploring how to merge different musical traditions into an organic whole.

This CD contains eleven tracks including “Window,” “Soon Enough,” “Paint The Tree Green,” “Dead American,” “Matchbox Head,” “Bigger Than Me,” and the title track “Inarticulate Nature Boy,” with a total runtime of approximately 48 minutes. A used copy of this album offers a chance to experience an artist’s experimental phase during a pivotal moment in his career.
