Immortals is a 2011 action-fantasy film directed by Tarsem Singh and set in ancient Greece. Henry Cavill stars as Theseus, a stonemason who discovers his destiny when an oracle named Phaedra, played by Freida Pinto, reveals that he alone can stop the tyrannical King Hyperion. Mickey Rourke portrays the power-hungry despot whose army devastates the Greek countryside in search of the legendary Bow of Epirus, a weapon that would allow him to overthrow the gods and conquer the world. Theseus must embrace his role as the chosen one and lead the resistance against Hyperion’s forces.
