Il Volo is a 2011 album by the Italian vocal trio Il Volo, formed by teenagers Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble after they won the talent competition Ti Lascio una Canzone in 2009. The group’s name means “flight,” reflecting their ambition to soar as young tenors. Recorded across Los Angeles, Rome, and London’s Abbey Road Studios, the album features the three singers performing a blend of classical and pop songs, both original compositions and traditional pieces, under the direction of producer Tony Renis and veteran producer Humberto Gatica, who has worked with artists like Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban.

This CD contains ten tracks showcasing the trio’s vocal abilities, including their signature rendition of the Neapolitan classic “O Sole Mio” alongside pieces like “Il Mondo,” “Smile,” and “Notte Stellata (The Swan).” The album runs approximately 44 minutes and was released by a major label. You’re getting a used copy of the physical media that these young artists recorded during their early rise to international recognition.
