Producer Keith Stegall helmed these reimagined versions, with Jones delivering his interpretations of Willie Nelson’s “Funny How Time Slips Away,” Randy Travis’s “On the Other Hand,” Mel Tillis’s “Detroit City” (a signature song for Bobby Bare), and Merle Haggard’s “Today I Started Loving You Again.” A reflective take on Hank Williams Jr.’s “The Blues Man” features a cameo from Dolly Parton, while Jones also revisits material originally recorded by Mark Chesnutt, Henson Cargill, and Johnny Rodriguez.
