Hereafter

Clint Eastwood directs this 2010 drama written by Peter Morgan about three people whose lives are shaped by encounters with death and the supernatural. An American factory worker with psychic abilities wants nothing more than an ordinary existence, a French television journalist struggles to move forward after surviving a devastating tsunami, and a London schoolboy grieves the loss of his twin brother. Their separate journeys of loss and spiritual searching eventually intersect in unexpected ways, exploring how those touched by tragedy often feel isolated from the rest of the world.

Warner Bros. released this 129-minute PG-13 film on a single DVD disc, featuring Cécile De France, Thierry Neuvic, and a supporting cast navigating Peter Morgan’s introspective screenplay. The film has the contemplative quality of a European art film as it examines how these three characters cope with grief and their search for meaning.
