Georg Friedrich Handel composed the Water Music and Music for the Royal Fireworks in the early 18th century as grand orchestral works for royal occasions. The Water Music was written around 1717 for King George I, while the Music for the Royal Fireworks premiered in 1749 to celebrate the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle. Both pieces showcase Handel’s gift for creating vibrant, ceremonial music filled with memorable melodies and rich orchestration.

This CD release features both complete works performed by a classical ensemble. It’s a single disc containing the full runtime of these Baroque masterpieces. Add this essential recording to your collection at a used price that makes it easy to own Handel’s most celebrated instrumental compositions.
