Gridiron Gang is a 2006 sports drama directed by Phil Joanou, based on true events. Dwayne Johnson stars as Sean Porter, a juvenile probation officer at a detention center who grows frustrated watching young inmates cycle back into the prison system or face violence on the streets. Determined to create real change, Porter and his colleague Malcolm Moore develop an unconventional solution: they organize the teenagers into a football team. With only four weeks before the season begins, Porter must build a competitive squad while teaching his players discipline, character, and mutual respect.
