Doug Jones directs and stars in this 1996 documentary that takes viewers on a cross-country rail adventure spanning 3,000 miles. The film follows three of America’s most celebrated passenger trains: the Broadway Limited, the California Zephyr, and the Desert Wind, as they connect Penn Station on the East Coast with Union Station in the West. Jones guides the journey with sweeping vistas of the American landscape rolling past the windows.

This single-disc DVD runs 89 minutes and carries a not-rated designation. Captured in standard definition, the documentary offers a window into classic American rail travel and the routes that connect the nation’s coasts. Grab this used copy and experience the romance of the rails from your home.
