Got The Magic is a 1999 smooth jazz fusion album by Spyro Gyra, led by saxophonist Jay Beckenstein. The group blends jazz, Latin, and soul influences across eleven instrumental tracks, with Beckenstein’s soprano and alto saxes taking a lyrical, central role. Keyboardist Tom Schuman, guitarist Julio Fernandez, bassist Scott Ambush, and drummer Joel Rosenblatt form the core ensemble, while guitarist Chuck Loeb produced six of the cuts and adds his own compositional voice. Guest vocalist Basia appears on “Springtime Laughter,” bringing warmth to its Brazilian-influenced groove. Loeb’s production touches include R&B variations and classical-soul blends that give the album its contemporary character.

This CD was released on Sony Legacy and contains ten tracks spanning nearly fifty minutes: “Silk And Satin,” “Breezeway,” “Havana Moonlight,” “Springtime Laughter,” “If You Will,” “Got The Magic,” “Teardrops,” “Pure Mood,” “Sierra,” “Love Comes,” and “R.S.V.P.” A used copy from us means you own the physical media without the new retail cost.
