Getaway

CD Details

Getaway is the 2001 album by New Zealand rock band the Clean, marking their return after five years apart. Brothers David and Hamish Kilgour, alongside Robert Scott, reunite to explore the experimental space pop sound they helped pioneer over two decades. With contributions from Yo La Tengo’s Ira Kaplan and Georgia Hubley on select tracks, the album balances intricate guitar work with atmospheric production. Hamish’s laid-back vocal delivery on “Crazy” contrasts with David’s more energetic approach on the opener “Stars,” while Scott’s distinctive croon graces “E-Motel” with its characteristic breeziness.

This is a single CD from the band’s 2001 release on their label, featuring 12 tracks including “Stars,” “Jala,” “Crazy,” “Golden Crown,” “Cell Block No. 5,” “E Motel,” “Twilight Agency,” “Poor Boy,” “Silence Or Something Else,” “Alpine Madness,” “Circle Canyon,” and “Aho.” You can own this used copy of physical media without spending full retail price.
