Galaxy Quest is a 1999 science fiction comedy directed by Dean Parisot and written by David Howard and Robert Gordon. The film stars Tim Allen as Commander Peter Quincy Taggart, Sigourney Weaver as Lt. Tawny Madison, and Alan Rickman as Dr. Lazarus, members of a washed-up TV cast whose show was canceled years ago. When aliens intercept old television broadcasts and mistake them for historical records, they abduct the actors, believing them to be real starship commanders capable of saving their civilization from destruction. Without a script or any actual space experience, the former television stars must improvise their way through a genuine intergalactic crisis.

This widescreen DVD edition is presented in a single disc format with a runtime of 102 minutes and carries a PG rating from DreamWorks Distribution. A knowing tribute to classic science fiction television, the film delivers humor and adventure for fans of the genre and newcomers alike. Own this used copy and enjoy a film that celebrates the spirit of space adventure.
