Garth Brooks released Fresh Horses in 1995 on Capitol Records, an album that marked a significant shift in his musical direction. Rather than the traditional country sound that defined his earlier work, this record leans heavily into uptempo rock and folk-pop arrangements. The ten-track collection includes “The Old Stuff,” “Cowboys and Angels,” “The Fever,” “That Ol’ Wind,” “Rollin’,” “The Change,” “The Beaches of Cheyenne,” “It’s Midnight Cinderella,” “She’s Every Woman,” and “Ireland,” showcasing Brooks’ attempt to expand his artistic palette with pop-rock inflections.

This CD from Capitol Records contains all ten tracks and represents a notable departure from the country-rock foundation of Brooks’ previous albums. The project saw mixed commercial reception, with songs ranging from playful rockers to ambitious reinterpretations of existing material. You can own this piece of mid-90s country-pop history as a used physical copy from us.
