CD Details

Free Fall is a 2000 electronic and world music album by Jesse Cook, released on Narada. The Canadian guitarist blends flamenco with new age and Latin influences across eleven tracks, creating a fusion that ranges from rapid-fire acoustic pieces to contemplative ballads. The album showcases Cook’s signature style while incorporating diverse instrumental textures and global sounds, from the dramatic centerpiece “On Walks the Night” with its rumba-flamenco grooves and Middle Eastern strings to the energetic “Switchback” with its train-track percussion and zippy basslines.

This CD contains the complete album with a total runtime of approximately 52 minutes. Standout tracks include “Air,” “Virtue,” “Free Fall,” “Paloma,” “Incantation,” and “Querido Amigo,” each bringing its own character to the collection. The album features contributions from world musicians including George Gow on erhu and Djivan Gasparyan on duduq, adding authentic instrumental color throughout.
