For Love of the Game is a 1999 sports drama directed by Sam Raimi and starring Kevin Costner as Billy Chapel, a 40-year-old pitcher for the Detroit Tigers facing the final stretch of his baseball career. When his long-time girlfriend Jane, played by Kelly Preston, announces she’s leaving him just before what could be his last professional game, Billy finds himself at a crossroads both personally and professionally. With his boss, portrayed by Brian Cox, planning to sell the team, Chapel must navigate the collision of his fading athletic career and his crumbling romantic life while pursuing redemption on the field.

This single-disc DVD release runs two hours and seventeen minutes and carries a PG-13 rating from Universal Pictures. The cast also includes John C. Reilly, Jena Malone, and J.K.
