Follow the Fleet is a 1936 musical comedy-romance from RKO Radio Pictures directed by Mark Sandrich. Fred Astaire plays Bake Baker, a sailor and dancer who reconnects with his former dance partner Sherry Martin, played by Ginger Rogers, when the US Navy fleet returns to San Francisco. As Bake and Sherry navigate rekindling their professional partnership, their friends pursue romantic interests of their own. The film showcases elaborate musical and dance numbers set to Irving Berlin compositions, with supporting performances from Betty Grable, Randolph Scott, and other cast members.
