Flight of the Phoenix is a 2004 action-adventure film directed by John Moore and written by Edward Burns, Lukas Heller, and Scott Frank. When a violent sandstorm brings down their cargo plane over the Gobi Desert, a diverse crew of survivors finds themselves stranded with no immediate hope of rescue. Played by Dennis Quaid, Giovanni Ribisi, Hugh Laurie, Miranda Otto, Tony Curran, and Tyrese Gibson, these castaways must set aside their differences and work together to rebuild an aircraft from the wreckage, facing both the unforgiving desert landscape and their own personal demons as they attempt to escape and return to civilization.
