CD Details
Joan Shelley’s second solo album came together in her Louisville, Kentucky home with producer Kevin Ratterman, known for his work with My Morning Jacket, Andrew Bird, and Houndmouth. The eight tracks on Electric Ursa are marked by their sparse arrangements and intimate quality, with Shelley’s vocals delivering a striking closeness that feels like a private conversation. Her songwriting draws listeners in through restraint and emotional directness.
This CD release captures the album’s delicate production and Shelley’s distinctive vocal presence. A used copy lets you experience this understated work at a fraction of the original retail cost.
