Drop Squad is a 1994 drama directed by D. Clark Johnson and executive produced by Spike Lee. The film stars Eriq LaSalle as an advertising executive on Madison Avenue who uses offensive stereotypes to market products to Black consumers. When he becomes a target of the DROP Squad-a vigilante organization dedicated to deprogramming African Americans accused of cultural betrayal-he is kidnapped and subjected to an intense psychological campaign. Vondie Curtis-Hall leads the group while Ving Rhames serves as his aggressive second-in-command, and tensions escalate as the organization’s methods grow increasingly violent and its members question whether they have strayed from their original mission.
