Toddlers the world over love dinosaurs, and Dinosaur Train: Big, Big, Big is engaging to kids ages 2 to 6, while teaching them quite a bit about the big critters too. Dinosaur Train: Big, Big, Big is a creation of the busy minds at the Jim Henson company, and originally broadcast on PBS. The disc contains several episodes of Dinosaur Train, most of them focusing on the big, bigger, biggest dinos, including an Alamosaurus and a Diplodocus (the names are complicated, but all the dinosaurs come with easy first names, like Allie and Denise). As with others in this series, Dinosaur Train: Big, Big, Big engages kids and their natural infatuation with dinosaurs and the natural world around them. Before you know it, kids are looking at animals alive now who resemble their dinosaur friends. The disc also includes several interactive features that help engage and facilitate learning, including games, coloring pages, and more. Most of all, Dinosaur Train: Big, Big, Big helps even the youngest children ask questions–a great habit that will give them a (big) leg up once they start school. Buddy and the Pteranodon kids hop on the Dinosaur Train to meet some of the biggest dinosaurs around! They meet Allie Alamosaurus an enormous long-necked plant-eating sauropod; Denise Diplodocus whose neck and tail the kids mistake for a snake and a bridge; and Apollo Apatosaurus a huge long-necked long-tailed dinosaur looking for adventure. Finally they visit their old friend Arnie Argentinosaurus who has gotten too big to ride the Dinosaur Train-until Tiny and Buddy arrange for him to ride on the new flatbed car!
