Desert Maverick: The Singular Architecture of William F. Cody is a documentary by Leo Zahn that examines the work of a major Palm Springs modernist architect. Through contemporary cinematography, archival photography by Julius Shulman, and interviews with architecture experts and colleagues, the film traces Cody’s distinctive design approach across his most significant projects from the late 1940s through the early 1970s, including the Del Marcos Hotel, L’Horizon Hotel, Huddle Springs Restaurant, the Palm Springs Spa, and numerous residential commissions.

This Blu-ray release presents the documentary in high definition. Cody’s career was cut short by a stroke in 1971, but his elegant desert modern buildings remain influential works. Own this architectural documentary on physical media.
