CD Details
Death Certificate is the third solo album by Ice Cube, released in 1993. The record presents provocative and controversial material delivered through spoken intros and episodic song structures that foreshadowed Cube’s later transition into film. While the album contains inflammatory language and offensive stereotypes directed at numerous groups, the content functions largely as exaggerated caricature rather than sincere ideology. The production and conceptual framework demonstrated formal innovation that contributed to establishing Ice Cube as a significant figure across multiple entertainment mediums.
This is a CD release on the album’s original label. The disc contains tracks including “The Death Side,” “The Funeral,” “The Wrong Nigga To Fuck Wit,” “My Summer Vacation,” “Steady Mobbin’,” “Robin Lench,” “Givin’ Up The Nappy Dug Out,” “Look Who’s Burnin’,” “A Bird In The Hand,” and “Man’s Best Friend,” among others.
