Covers is a 2008 pop album by James Taylor featuring his interpretations of songs from across American music history. Recorded live with his full band in a converted barn in Western Massachusetts over ten days in January, the album brings together material made famous by artists including Buddy Holly, the Dixie Chicks, the Temptations, Leonard Cohen, George Jones, and Eddie Cochran. Taylor has covered songs throughout his career, and this collection represents tunes he had performed live over the years but never previously recorded in studio form.
