Concussion is a 2015 biographical drama directed by Peter Landesman and starring Will Smith as Dr. Bennet Omalu, a forensic neuropathologist who makes a groundbreaking discovery while performing an autopsy on former NFL player Mike Webster (David Morse). Omalu identifies a degenerative neurological condition he names chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, and publishes his findings in a medical journal. As more athletes receive the same diagnosis, Omalu launches a determined campaign to alert the public and the sports world to the serious risks of head trauma in football. The film also features Alec Baldwin, Albert Brooks, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
