COMBAT KNIFE THROWING: The Video

Movie / Show Details

Combat Knife Throwing: The Video is an instructional film from Paladin Press featuring Ralph Thorn, a master of combat knife throwing techniques. Rather than relying on complex calculations of distance and spin mechanics, Thorn teaches a practical no-spin throwing style grounded in gross motor skills. The video covers fundamental techniques including sidearm throws for close-range combat, underhand half-spin throws, shuriken throws for distance, and various advanced methods. Thorn demonstrates that with basic knives, a target, and practice, you can master consistent and accurate throwing of both traditional weapons and improvised pointed objects.

This single-disc DVD uses computer graphics and slow-motion videography to break down throwing mechanics and form. The instruction also includes trick throws such as blindfolded tosses, behind-the-back throws, and accurate throws while running.
