CD Details
Collage is the 2000 debut album from saxophonist Christine Jensen, who leads a contemporary jazz ensemble through original compositions. Jensen performs on alto and soprano saxophone alongside her sister Ingrid Jensen on trumpet and flugelhorn, a Juno Award-winning jazz musician. The group also includes tenor saxophonist Joel Miller, keyboardist Brad Turner from the Vancouver ensemble Metalwood, bassist Fraser Hollins, and drummer Karl Jannuska, creating an intimate small-group setting that showcases Jensen’s compositional voice.
Released on Effendi Records as a single disc, Collage presents modern jazz arrangements performed by this collaborative ensemble. Own this used CD and add a distinctive voice in contemporary jazz to your collection.
