Carolyn Arends, an acclaimed singer-songwriter, created Christmas: An Irrational Season in 2004 by drawing from twelve years of original compositions written for her church’s Christmas Eve services. This rock and folk-pop album blends Arends’ newly written pieces with four traditional holiday favorites, offering a collection that balances spiritual reflection with celebratory warmth. The songs explore the Christmas story and the season’s deeper meaning through both contemplative and joyful arrangements, creating an intimate yet uplifting listening experience.

Released as a CD, this album features tracks including the prelude “The Irrational Season,” original compositions like “Come and See” and “Christmas Must Be Tonight,” and classic renderings of “Angels We Have Heard On High” and “Go Tell It On the Mountain.” Arends’ acoustic arrangements showcase her creative songwriting and professional musicianship throughout. Grab this used copy and experience a holiday album that respects tradition while celebrating fresh artistic vision.
