Cake is a 2014 drama directed by Daniel Barnz and written by Patrick Tobin, featuring Jennifer Aniston as Claire Simmons, a woman battling both chronic physical pain and emotional turmoil. Isolated by her sharp tongue and reliance on alcohol and prescription medication, Claire has alienated nearly everyone around her except for Silvana, her devoted housekeeper. When Nina, a member of Claire’s chronic-pain support group, takes her own life, Claire becomes fixated on understanding the tragedy and inserting herself into the lives of Nina’s grieving family, including her widower. Through this obsessive pursuit, Claire confronts difficult questions about loss, abandonment, and the possibility of her own redemption.

This single-disc DVD release runs 102 minutes and carries an R rating for language and some sexuality.
