Director Barry Sonnenfeld brings Dave Barry’s bestselling novel to the screen in this 2002 comedy thriller set in Miami. A mysterious suitcase becomes the unlikely connection between a divorced journalist, an unhappy housewife, various criminals and mobsters, FBI agents, mismatched cops, and a massive toad with hallucinogenic abilities. The film weaves together the stories of Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Stanley Tucci, Tom Sizemore, and Johnny Knoxville as absurdities pile up in a frantic plot that culminates in airport chaos.

This single-disc DVD release runs 85 minutes and carries a PG-13 rating from Buena Vista Pictures Distribution. The ensemble cast and rapid-fire humor create sustained mayhem that captures Barry’s distinctive comedic style, even if the crowded narrative leaves little breathing room. Grab this used copy and experience the controlled chaos for a fraction of retail.
