Movie / Show Details

Blue Valentine is a 2010 drama directed by Derek Cianfrance that explores how a marriage unravels over time. Ryan Gosling stars as Dean, a high school dropout working for a moving company who meets Cindy, a nursing student played by Michelle Williams, while relocating an elderly resident. The film moves between their early romance and their present-day life six years later in rural Pennsylvania, where ambition and personal struggles have created a widening gap between them. As Dean’s prospects fade and Cindy’s aspirations grow, their relationship deteriorates, culminating in a planned romantic evening that mirrors and inverts the spontaneity of their first date.
