Donna De Lory released Bliss in 2001, her debut album as a solo artist. Known for her work as a backing vocalist for Madonna throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, De Lory stepped into the spotlight with this project, drawing inspiration from artists like Kate Bush and Sting. The album blends electronic, folk, and pop influences into an ethereal soundscape, featuring songs such as “On & On,” “Hold Me Now,” “Te Amo,” and “Please” that showcase her poignant songwriting and supple voice.

This is a CD edition of the album, containing eleven tracks including the standout pieces mentioned above as well as “Where I’ve Never Been,” “Only Time,” “Go Talk To Mary,” “Love Never Dies,” “Free,” “A Woman’s Pride,” and a rendition of “Amazing Grace.” De Lory wrote and produced this independently distributed release alongside cellist Cameron Stone. Grab this used copy and experience a distinctive blend of roots-based and contemporary pop sensibilities.
