Black Death is a 2010 horror-drama directed by Christopher Smith that follows a knight, a group of soldiers, and a young monk sent by the church to investigate a mysterious village during the medieval plague. Set in 1348 as the Black Death ravages Europe, the film centers on their dangerous mission to uncover why this particular settlement appears immune to the disease. What they discover instead are dark supernatural forces and horrors that test their faith and survival instincts.
