Robert Zemeckis directed this 2007 animated action-adventure film based on the classic epic poem, adapted by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary. Ray Winstone voices Beowulf, the legendary 6th-century Scandinavian warrior, alongside Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins, Brendan Gleeson, and John Malkovich. When the fearsome ogre Grendel terrorizes the kingdom, Beowulf is called upon to face the monster. His victory, however, awakens the wrath of Grendel’s mother, a seductive and vengeful creature determined to exact her revenge through any means necessary, setting in motion an epic conflict that will echo through the ages.
