Ben-Hur is a 2016 action-adventure remake directed by Timur Bekmambetov. Jack Huston stars as a Palestinian aristocrat living during the time of Christ who is wrongly accused of a crime and enslaved by the Roman Empire. Forced into brutal servitude, he eventually earns his freedom by competing in a spectacular chariot race at the colosseum. Upon his release, he returns home seeking both redemption and revenge against the man who betrayed him, with a supporting cast including Morgan Freeman, Rodrigo Santoro, Nazanin Boniadi, and Ayelet Zurer.
