Beethoven’s nine symphonies, originally recorded in 1963, receive a masterful interpretation from conductor Herbert von Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, with soprano Gundula Janowitz. This cycle captures the ensemble at their peak, delivering a refined and emotionally restrained approach to these monumental works that showcases both technical precision and artistic clarity across all nine symphonic movements.

This CD edition was released in 1989 and contains the complete nine symphonies: No. 1 in C Major Op. 21, No. 2 in D Major Op. 36, No. 3 in E-flat Major Op. 55 “Eroica,” No. 4 in B-flat Major Op. 60, No. 5 in C Minor Op. 67, No. 6 in F Major Op. 68 “Pastorale,” No. 7 in A Major Op. 92, No. 8 in F Major Op. 93, and No. 9 in D Minor Op. 125. A landmark recording of classical music, this used copy offers you the chance to own a celebrated interpretation at a fraction of retail cost.
