Rowan Atkinson stars as the eccentric Mr. Bean in this 1997 British comedy directed by Mel Smith. Bean is a bumbling museum guard mistakenly believed to be a renowned art expert when he is sent to Los Angeles to escort the famous “Whistler’s Mother” painting to its new home at the prestigious Grierson Gallery. What gallery owner and curator David Langley, played by Peter MacNicol, don’t realize is that Bean is hopelessly clumsy and wildly unconventional, hardly the person you’d trust with one of the world’s most valuable artworks. As the official unveiling approaches with benefactor General Newton, played by Burt Reynolds, Bean’s misadventures and physical comedy wreak havoc on the gallery and Langley’s personal life, leading to chaos only Bean can somehow resolve.

This single-disc DVD release runs 89 minutes and carries a PG-13 rating from Gramercy Pictures. Special features include the OMC “I Love L.A.” music video, the theatrical trailer, and cast and filmmaker information. Grab this family-friendly comedy adventure at a used price that won’t strain your wallet.
