Battle Cry of Freedom is a patriotic choral album released in 1991 by the RCA Victor Symphony Orchestra and Robert Shaw Chorale, conducted by Robert Shaw. The recording brings together beloved American anthems and songs from the Civil War era, spanning from revolutionary times through the nation’s defining conflicts. Selections include the title track, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, America the Beautiful, God Bless America, Columbia Gem of the Ocean, and a Revolutionary War Medley.
