Walt Disney’s 1942 animated feature Bambi follows a young forest prince through the changing seasons as he grows up and discovers the world around him. Directed by David Hand and Wilfred Jackson, the film centers on Bambi’s journey from a wide-eyed fawn learning to navigate the forest to a maturing deer who understands friendship, love, and life’s deeper meanings. Alongside memorable characters like the talkative rabbit Thumper, the gentle skunk Flower, and the wise Friend Owl, Bambi experiences both joy and hardship in this coming-of-age story that has captivated audiences for generations.

This is a one-disc DVD release of the Platinum Edition, rated G for general audiences. The film’s Academy Award-nominated score and songs enhance the beautifully rendered animation that brings the forest to life across all four seasons. Owning this restored version of Disney’s beloved classic on physical media means you can revisit the magic whenever you choose.
