Around the World is a 2001 music documentary directed by Douglas Friedman that follows the Backstreet Boys on a whirlwind 100-hour promotional tour across five continents. Traveling aboard a luxury Boeing 767 in November 2000 to support their album Black & Blue, the group visits Stockholm, Tokyo, Sydney, Cape Town, and Rio de Janeiro, with behind-the-scenes footage capturing both the cities and devoted fans they encounter. Interviews with each band member reveal their perspectives on the journey as fatigue sets in over the course of the trip.

This single-disc DVD runs 90 minutes and was released by BMG Music. While not a concert film, the documentary features spontaneous a cappella performances of “Shape of My Heart” throughout the tour, with one complete version compiled from these impromptu moments, plus a postcard gallery. Own this used copy and experience the Backstreet Boys’ globe-spanning adventure firsthand.
