Arpeggio of Blue Steel AR-MO is an anime film based on the science fiction and military manga series by Ark Performance. Set in the mid-21st century after rising sea levels have reshaped Earth’s continents, the story follows naval cadet Gunzo Chihaya and his team as they board I-401, a sentient warship called Iona who has defected from the mysterious Fog Fleet. Together they form Blue Steel and undertake a dangerous mission to retrieve a prototype weapon that may be humanity’s last chance against the thinking battleships attacking from the seas. Directed by Seiji Kishi and produced by SANZIGEN Animation Studio, the film expands the world of the popular anime series.
