An American Carol is a 2008 political comedy directed by David Zucker, who also co-wrote the film with Lewis Friedman and Myrna Sokoloff. The movie stars Kevin P. Farley, Jon Voight, Kelsey Grammer, and Geoffrey Arend, among others. In this satirical take on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, a cynical Hollywood filmmaker opposed to American independence is visited by three spirits who work to reveal to him what America truly means. The film uses supernatural intervention to challenge the protagonist’s worldview through encounters with ghostly figures from history.

This is a single-disc DVD release from Vivendi Entertainment with a runtime of 83 minutes and a PG-13 rating. The comedy-fantasy blend offers a conservative-leaning perspective on American values and politics. Grab this used copy and own a piece of political satire from the 2000s.
