Americana is a 2012 album by Neil Young and Crazy Horse, the band’s first collaboration in nearly nine years. The group features Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina, Poncho Sampedro, and Neil Young. This collection reimagines classic American folk songs, many of which originated in the 1800s as protest songs, murder ballads, and campfire tales passed down through generations. The album includes traditional standards like “Oh Susannah,” “Clementine,” and “Tom Dula” alongside mid-twentieth-century folk classics such as “This Land Is Your Land” and “Get A Job,” blending these timeless melodies with the band’s signature hard rock sound.
