American Standard is the 1995 rock album by Seven Mary Three, a Florida-based band that blends grunge-influenced guitar work with Southern rock elements. The record showcases the group’s ability to merge heavy, Pearl Jam-style riffs with swamp-boogie grooves and accessible pop hooks, drawing more from the boogie-rock tradition of bands like Molly Hatchet than classic Southern rock. Standout tracks include “Cumbersome,” which became the album’s hit single, along with “Water’s Edge,” “Roderigo,” and the nearly seven-minute closer “Favorite Dog.”

This is a CD edition of American Standard, featuring 11 tracks across a runtime of approximately 46 minutes. Seven Mary Three’s debut showcases their knack for catchy melodies paired with heavier instrumentation, making it a solid addition to mid-90s rock collections. Grab this used copy and own a piece of 90s alternative rock history.
