This double feature pairs two comedy-dramas about couples navigating personal crises and relationship complications. California Suite, directed by Herbert Ross from Neil Simon’s screenplay, follows five couples at the Beverly Hills Hotel, including Sidney Cochran and his wife Diana, Marvin Michaels and his spouse, Hannah Warren and her ex-husband, and Dr. Chauncey Gump with his friend. The ensemble cast features Alan Alda, Bill Cosby, Dyan Cannon, Elliot Gould, Jane Fonda, and Maggie Smith. Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, directed by Paul Mazursky, centers on a filmmaker and his wife who attend a therapy retreat and return home with modernized views on relationships, testing the dynamics with their best friends.

Both films are presented on a single DVD disc with a combined runtime of 103 minutes and carry a PG rating from the MPAA. Columbia Pictures released this collection as a way to experience two classic comedies from the late 1970s in one package. Grab this used copy and enjoy these witty explorations of relationships and personal growth.
