Matchbox was a British rockabilly revival band that recorded for Magnet Records between 1979 and 1982. This four-disc collection gathers their complete output from that period, starting with their 1979 self-titled debut that climbed to number 44 on the UK charts, followed by 1980’s Midnite Dynamos, which reached number 23. The set also includes their Flying Colours album and the 1982 LP Crossed Line, making its CD debut here. Notable tracks span the chart-hitting “Over The Rainbow/You Belong To Me” at number 15, the number 63 single “One More Saturday Night,” and a collaboration with Kirsty MacColl called “I Want Out,” plus rare Japanese-only singles and bonus recordings.

This four-CD box set comes housed in a sturdy clamshell case with each disc in a card wallet featuring original LP artwork. A 20-page booklet provides detailed liner notes along with images of single sleeves and memorabilia. Own this comprehensive Matchbox retrospective on physical media at a used price.
