Agatha Christie's Poirot: Death in the Clouds

Movie / Show Details

Hercule Poirot investigates a murder committed aboard an airplane crossing the English Channel in this 1992 British television adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel. When a passenger is killed with a poison dart gun, the Belgian detective must untangle a web of aristocratic blackmail and a mysterious illegitimate daughter to solve the crime. David Suchet stars as Poirot, bringing his signature European refinement and unconventional methods to the case, while Philip Jackson plays Chief Inspector Japp, whose by-the-book Scotland Yard approach contrasts sharply with the detective’s intuitive style. Director Stephen Whittaker frames the mystery against striking visuals, from aerial shots of the English countryside and the white cliffs of Dover to art deco interiors, building toward a classic drawing room revelation.
