Afterdark: Chicago is the fourth installment in the Afterdark series, a collection of compilations showcasing house music from major cities worldwide. Released in 2005, this edition focuses on Chicago’s electronic sound through two discs mixed by different curators. The first disc, mixed by Chris Brann of Ananda Project, features tracks from Guidance Records, one of Chicago’s most respected labels and a global leader in electronic music. The second disc, compiled by DJ Jask, highlights material from Large Music, a label that has championed house music for over a decade and reached their milestone 100th single release in 2005.

This two-disc CD set contains eight tracks spanning over 45 minutes of downtempo and house music, including “Past & Future Things (Ananda Project Mix),” “Theme From Guidance,” “It’s Alright,” and “Baghdad Cafe (Callin’ U) (The Friendly Mix).” Designed for serious listeners who appreciate quality electronic music, this used copy brings Chicago’s sophisticated house scene to your collection at a fraction of retail cost.
